Stage 1 | Remove Wheels
The first step is the careful removal of the wheels from the vehicle, we then remove all tyres, weights & valves etc ensuring they are ready for refurbishment.
Refurbishing a split rim alloy wheel requires a greater effort compared to a typical alloy wheel due to the necessity of disassembling its elements, treating each part separately, and then rejoining them upon completion of the refurbishment. These wheels may consist of two or three sections, in addition to centre caps and various extras.
Our Process
The first step is the careful removal of the wheels from the vehicle, we then remove all tyres, weights & valves etc ensuring they are ready for refurbishment.
The wheel surface is bathed in a chemical stripping tank to remove any existing coatings or contaminants. Following this, precise sanding is carried out to create a smooth and uniform surface ready for powder coating application. The wheels are then inspected to ensure there are no cracks or damage that would require attention.
Based on the style of the lip, we can either polish, apply a diamond cut, or powder coat your wheel lips.
After all preperation, the wheel is evenly coated with the chosen powder colour or finish. This stage demands precision to achieve a flawless coating that enhances both aesthetics and durability.
The final step involves reassembling the wheels, tyres, valves etc. The wheels are then electronically balanced with weights placed on the inside of the alloy so not to affect the appearance and wheels carefully refitted onto the vehicle..
